Susan Hoentzsch

We are the creators of our lives. When it comes to our life path and career choices there is no right or wrong – as long as we follow our own dreams and meet our own expectations.

Susan is experienced in consulting, coaching, training and psychological assessment, coupled with profound knowledge of various corporate cultures. When Susan moved to Canada in 2017, she quickly realized how important it is to support expatriates and their families while moving internationally, settling in abroad or re-entering their passport countries after international assignments. Her passion is to empower expatriates and their spouses in creating a fulfilling life abroad. While expatriates mostly have to deal with work related questions, dual-career partners or spouses sometimes tend to feel lost in the process. Having a coach or mentor by their sides, will help them to get through the process of adjusting and dealing with a possible culture shock more easily.

What people say about me

“Susan’s counseling proved extremely beneficial at a time where I had very limited experience to rely on, effectively entering a new work market with little experience of my own. Her advice, suggestions and considerate directions allowed me to truly orient my employment research in a way that would emphasize my personal goals while astutely matching employer’s expectations.”
J. L., Canadian expatriate

“Susan helped me to overcome a low in which I felt stuck for more than a year. When we moved to the States, I had to quit a job that I loved and had to leave my closest friends. I wasn’t happy anymore and felt like a prisoner. After my first and possibly very chaotic first email, Susan created a plan to help me overcome my culture shock and sadness. I had a safe place to talk about my feelings and Susan asked lots of tricky questions that not only helped me to analyze and reflect my situation but to also come up with my next steps.”
D. J., Spouse of a German expatriate
